Wedding Photographer Copenhagen

Hey you.

My name is Evita, but most call me Evi. I come from the midst of forests in Latvia where I spent my time as a kid climbing trees and collecting frogs. Random. In 2014 I found my home in Denmark and have been asked to say rødgrød med fløde ever since.

If I would have to narrow myself down in four conversation topics, I would say: puzzles, my dead hamster, global supply chain crisis and art as a whole. Pick a day and I will talk your ears off about any of the above.

About photography. It has always been in me. You know how some kids in the 90’s spent their time building Sims homes? Besides collecting frogs, I admired photography from day one. In the small village that I was living in, there was a small library with access to the internet. I went there to spend hours researching photographers and their work, not even daring to dream to be one, one day.

When I was around the age of 10, I had to stay at a kids hospital in the capital of Latvia and while I was there, there was a campaign going on. Each patient was allowed to take one picture and five best photos would win a small Canon camera. You know the ones we used in the 2000’s for those essential mirror selfies. Well, I was lucky enough to win one and my teenage years were pretty glad about that haha.

After that I started using that little thing to shoot photoshoots of my friends or just to take those mirror selfies. I hung up a list of ideas on the back of my bedroom’s door and crossed off one idea at a time.

Professionally I started taking pictures at weddings soon after I moved to Denmark and have been doing it ever since. I love photography, but I guess you already know that. I never dreamed of working as a photographer full time, but now that I do, I can assure you I give it my all 100 percent. It is and always will be one of my biggest passions in life. That and puzzles.

Anyways, hit me up, if you are up for a chat!

Love, Evi
